“Don’t worry about people stealing your ideas, worry about the day they stop.”

As an artist, a creator of ideas and turning them into reality, you should make sure to protect your artworks. This is where copyright comes in. According to Arts Law, these are their few ways to protect your materials that you uploaded on the internet from others without your permission. • add a visible watermark to your images before uploading them • disable right-click • add invisible information to your images online • tell users that a high-quality version is available to buy • upload low-resolution images only — no more than 72dpi • put the © notice with your name next to your work. • give people the possibility to contact you — for example, by showing your email address. It will be easier for someone to ask for your permission to use your work. “Art is the only place you can do what you like. That’s freedom.”

Most artists and or designers such as myself use art as a form of expression, a means to convey our message to the world. Whenever I have a client, what I do is to not only express my message in my art but also to fulfill the message that the client wants to convey.  After all, the client is the voice and I, the designer, am the creator of the voice box which is the request. Saying this, I can still be expressive in my form and style in my designs which may even include the content depending on the client I have for a project. “You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.”

Being a designer, you always need to fill up your imagination cup. It’s a challenge for each and every one even those who aren’t in the design field. There would be times when that imagination cup empties down and you just lose the ideas desired in the design. That’s really a struggle. What I do when that happens is that I get out a bit, get some fresh air and then seek for ideas and inspiration from the real world and even other artists’ works. When I replenish myself, that’s the time that I thrive and to be able to perform and to deliver what is necessary.
